Abo Blood Group Association in Covid19 Pneumonia

Abstract

In DEC 2019, an outbreak of Covid19 occurred in Wuhan, China. The understanding regarding its symptomatology and mortality has been constantly evolving. Although it is well documented that Covid19 is primarily manifested as respiratory tract infection, studies indicate it should be regarded as a systemic disease with multiple system involvement. Finding hematological profile of the patient and thereby finding its association with the mortality is of priority. This study tries to associate ABO blood group and its effect on mortality and affection in patients with Covid 19. In our study Blood group of A+ and O+ were seen the most among the study subjects and there was no significant association between blood groups and mortality
