“…In folk medicine the oil from fruits has pediculocide and scabicide activities, and the root extract is used as an antidote against snake bites. 3 In our studies of the roots of A. lhotzkyana, we have reported the isolation and structural elucidation of a new abietane diterpenoid (1), along with the known diterpenes uncinatone (5), 4 cyrtophyllone B (6), 4 teuvincenone E (7), 5 sugiol (8) 6 and kaurenoic acid, 7 the steroidˇ-sitosterol glucoside 8 and the triterpene betulinic acid. 9 The complete proton and carbon assignments of the new diterpene (1) and unpublished 13 C NMR data for the new derivatives 2-4, and a suggestion for the 13 C NMR data misassignment related to teuvincenone H 9, were accomplished with the use of a series of 2D NMR experiments including 1 H-1 H COSY, HMQC, HMBC and NOESY sequences.…”
