A worldwide correlation of lactase persistence phenotype and genotypes

Abstract: BackgroundThe ability of adult humans to digest the milk sugar lactose - lactase persistence - is a dominant Mendelian trait that has been a subject of extensive genetic, medical and evolutionary research.
