A Weakly Chainable Tree-Like Continuum without the Fixed Point Property

Abstract: Abstract. An example of a fixed points free map is constructed on a tree-like, weakly chainable continuum.

This break-through construction was followed by other examples of tree-like continua without the fixed point property [62,63,55,21,56,57,59,37,36,24].
