Information about network availability and the amount of internet data usage is very important for planning and implementing management of free internet data assistance programs in the COVID-19 pandemic for students. Research Objectives to analyze for the mobile data usage in online learning (Zoom cloud meetings apps) during the COVID-19 pandemic at Higher Education institutions. The results study revealed that access to online learning using the Zoom cloud meeting apps for 1-minute internet data usage of 5.02bB for a meeting duration of 40 minutes and for a meeting duration of 60 minutes (1 hour) of 13.66 Mb. The measurement results are then used as a reference in the internet data assistance program for students as an effort in supporting the online learning process (Learning-From-Home), objective and proportionate in its distribution to beneficiaries

This research aims to provide solutions for practical learning in the vocational field of mechatronic engineering during the Covid-19 pandemic. In order for vocational students to become skilled and competent, a considerable number of hours of practice is required. Meanwhile, to prevent the spread of Covid-19, restrictions on face-to-face meetings have been imposed. To make the number of hours of student practice sufficient without having to meet face to face, a remote laboratory is presented, which can be accessed by students easily, anytime and anywhere. The developed remote laboratory uses real equipment, in the form of the Mitsubishi RV-M1 Industrial Robot, which is monitored by 3 cameras, and can be controlled via the internet. The use of a real robot, not a simulation, is intended so that students can feel the experience as if they were practicing the robot directly. This remote laboratory for the practice of programming the Mitsubishi RV-M1 Industrial Robot has been successfully developed and is already being used by mechatronics students at the vocational faculty of Sanata Dharma University. Most of the students gave a good response to this remote laboratory, because students got a new and interesting experience. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this remote laboratory, a comparison is shown of the average time for searching for the position of an object directly and indirectly through the remote laboratory. From the results of the comparison, the average time to search for the position of an object directly ranges from 1-2 minutes, while through a remote laboratory it ranges from 2-3 minutes, which is considered to be within reasonable limits.

Practical learning methodologies have become the need of the hour in the education sector, in particular in engineering education, to achieve technical competencies and skills. Advancements in web-based learning strategies have evolved over the years, and technology has played a major role in creating e-learning resources, among which remote labs are the ones transforming engineering laboratory delivery structure. In the present work, the methodology of improvising an existing traditional automation laboratory into an internet of things (IoT)-enabled laboratory with remote operation is presented. The implementation process of industrial internet of things (IIoT) for enabling remote operation of automation laboratory at the NIE, India is described in this paper. This paper describes the implementation of novel learning platform for programmable logic controllers (PLC), industrial PC (IPC), and hydraulic laboratories using a common IIoT architecture and framework. Additionally, user-level web-based application is created to control the use of all laboratory equipment from remote locations.
