A unique effect of clonazepam on frontal lobe seizure control

Abstract: In a 16-year-old female, clonazepam (CZP) changed randomly occurring intractable tonic seizures of frontal lobe origin to a few sleep seizures when used as an adjunctive therapy. The significance of this change in the seizure pattern is discussed with an explanation of possible pathophysiologic mechanism.
