“…All of these peaks from UiO‐66‐NH 2 can be observed in the spectrum of PANI/UiO‐66‐NH 2 , suggesting that the UiO‐66‐NH 2 framework is intact within the composite material. However, it should be noted that a small peak located at 1,620 cm −1 , which corresponds to the bending vibration of N−H, [22] is observed in the spectrum of UiO‐66‐NH 2 but not seen in that of PANI/UiO‐66‐NH 2 . This finding implies that there is covalent linkage between the amino groups in UiO‐66‐NH 2 and polyaniline within the composite [23] .…”

“…Generally, since the nanofillers display better dispersibility in aqueous solution, TFN membranes can be prepared by adding nanofillers into the aqueous solution [ 33 , 34 ]. When nanofillers are incorporated to the aqueous solution, most of the nanofillers will be lost from the membrane surface with the removal of excess aqueous solution, greatly reducing the load of nanofillers and weakens its excellent performance [ 35 ]. Comparatively, with adding nanofillers into the organic solution, most of the nanofillers will remain because the nanofillers are embedded in the PA layer and can hardly be removed from the organic solution.…”

“…The peak at 1435 cm −1 can be related to the C–C stretching vibration in the aromatic ring from the 2-aminoterephthalic acid ligand. Moreover, the peaks at 1381 and 1570 cm −1 can be assigned to the symmetric and asymmetric C–O stretching bonds, respectively, resulting from aromatic and carboxylic groups [ 30 ].…”
