Possibilities of electronic music notationAfter a discussion of the need for electronic music notation, the literature on this topic and the notational practice in existing electronic music scores are reviewed. A new system of notation integrating the main aspects of previous methods is outlined. The system combines information about technical procedures during the realization of a composition, physical data characterizing acoustic properties of sound signals and a description of the listener's aural perception. Interconnections among those different representations of each sound event as well as between the actual sound signals and their representations allow easy access to all information about any notated event and permit listening to the sounds at will. It is suggested that the notational system should be realized with the aid of the computer. * Dieser Aufsatz entstand im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts "Notational System for Electronic Music", das die Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Hamburg gemeinsam mit dem Technion,
