A study of compressed sensing based collision avoidance by multi-sensor CW radar data

Abstract: Compressed sensing algorithms are studied for the purpose of detecting targets and estimating their motion states in a collision warning radar system which consists of 4 continuouswave (CW) modules operating in the industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) frequency band around 24 GHz. A method for sparse representation and a discretization adjusted to the problem are investigated. Also, the capabilities of various estimation algorithms belonging to the two groups of basis and greedy pursuits are compared cons… Show more

“…Millimeter-wave radars, [28][29][30] by contrast, is relatively less expensive, is not easily influenced by environmental elements, and has precision; thus, they are suitable for use in CAA systems. 32 Radar cross-section, multi-target recognition, wave studies, signal processing, and transceiver isolation are essential technologies in millimeter-wave radar sensing. The electromagnetic compatibility and space electromagnetic interference of radars and other hardware systems 33,34 must be reviewed.…”
