A spectrophotometric Study of the Association of Nickel with taurine

Abstract: Interaction of nickel with taurine was investigated by different spectrophotometric methods. The results, thus obtained were interpreted in terms of complex formation between nickel and taurine in the ration 1:2. Further evidence to this effect was provided by conductometric studies. Moreover, the effect of pH on the nature of nickel ion binding to taurine was also studied spectrophotometrically.

“…The dispersed layered silicate platelets encase the 5‐ASA retarding the release of drug molecule in the nanocomposites. Chitosan polytetrahydrofuran‐MMT nanocomposite showed strong antimicrobial activity particularly against gram‐positive bacteria. However, Na‐MMT could not inhibit the growth of bacteria.…”
