Abstract:With high penetration of wind power, the apparent inertia of power systems is decreased, which seriously affects the safety and stability of the system frequency. Therefore, a novel sliding mode frequency control (SMFC) scheme is proposed for the wind turbines participating in frequency regulation support (FRS) in power systems, which can significantly improve the dynamic characteristics of the system frequency. At first, a power system frequency response model considering wind turbines participation in FRS is… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
