A Semantic Based Approach for Knowledge Capitalization in Communities of Practice of E-Learning

Abstract: Communities of Practice of E-learning (CoPEs) are considered as a virtual framework for exchanging and sharing techno-pedagogic knowledge and know-how between actors of e-learning. However, after analyzing of knowledge management modalities in some CoPEs, the authors noticed that knowledge is often represented in a way that does not facilitate its access and reuse. Accordingly, this paper focuses on knowledge capitalization in CoPEs and proposes an ontology-based framework aiming to facilitate knowledge sharin… Show more

“…It is a graph-based induction for know-how map improvement. (Berkani and Chikh, 2012) propose a Semantic Based Approach for Knowledge Capitalization in E-Learning Practice Communities (CoP). CoP are "groups of people who share a concern, a set of problems, or a passion about a topic, and who deepen their knowledge and expertise in this area by interacting on an ongoing basis".…”

“…The framework provides a common vocabulary within a CoP to enable a shared understanding between its members, a semantic support to annotate its knowledge assets, and a means of storage and indexing its different assets. The approach proposed by (Berkani and Chikh, 2012) is applied in the medical field (the community of practice of E-learning represent the staff of healthcare teachers, apprentices or trainers).…”

“…As a part of research work on recommended based approach for knowledge resources in Communities of Practice of Elearning (CoPEs), Lamia Berkani et al [16] proposes a recommendation system which is based on the hybrid semantic IF. The research idea employs a multilevel filtering which is collaborative, social and semantic applied on the profiles for proposing recommendation of knowledge resources.…”
