A Review on Synthesis, Structural, Flame Retardancy and Dielectric Properties of Hexasubstituted Cyclotriphosphazene

Abstract: Hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene is a ring compound consisting of an alternating phosphorus and nitrogen atom with two chlorine substituents attached to the phosphorus atom. The six chlorine atoms attached to this cyclo compound can be substituted with any different nucleophile that leads to changes in different chemical and physical properties. The major topics that were investigated in this research are the flame retardancy and dielectric properties of cyclotriphosphazene compounds. Cyclotriphosphazene compound… Show more

“…[17,18] By contrast, phosphorousbased FR has been widely studied and applied in the development of new flame retardants because of their advantages of low toxicity, environmental friendliness and strong molecular editing ability. [19][20][21] Halogen-free flame retardants, especially phosphorus-based flame retardants play an increasingly important role in flame retardants for their low toxicity, high efficiency and environmental friendliness. [22,23] APP is one of the essential phosphorusbased flame retardants.…”

“…Based on the previous study, phosphorus- and nitrogen-containing molecules are outstanding compounds that have been demonstrated as excellent fire-retardant materials [ 17 , 18 ]. As a result, the modification of non-halogenated derivatives showed a rapidly growing interest in the research field related to fire-retardant and dielectric studies [ 19 , 20 ].…”
