Despite the significance attached to foreign direct investment (FDI) by Multinational enterprises (MNEs), there are is no comprehensive review of the FDI literature. Moreover, those that have been published, focus on subsets of FDI. This review systematically examines the empirical as well as theoretical research on FDI through an analysis of 500 articles published during the last five decades. Theoretical models, methods, context, and contributions to scholarship were reviewed. We strive to highlight the key theories, paradigms, and articles and provide directions for future research. We conclude that FDI has evolved as the most significant area of international business.

Policymakers face a dilemma over their investment‐promotion strategies for becoming more competitive in international markets. Encouraging firms to invest abroad could reduce domestic economic activity. We investigate this issue by analysing the long‐ and short‐run relationships between outward foreign direct investment and domestic investment for Brazil and China. We use a time series approach, namely autoregressive distributed lag for the period between 1975 and 2013. Our findings indicate a crowding‐in effect of outward foreign direct investment on domestic investment for both countries. Copyright © 2018 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

The worldwide increased consumption of goods and services squeezes natural resources, thus causing severe damage to the environment. In the backdrop of the growing affirmative reaction of people, the inclination to buy green products is on the rise. Therefore, we explore the extant literature to identify the factors established for their role in determining the purchase of products having a less damaging impact on the environment. A systematic literature review was conducted following the Theory-Context-Characteristics-Methodology framework covering 151 empirical studies on green purchase intention and green purchase behavior, published between years 2000 and 2021. This paper identifies factors influencing consumers' green purchase intention and green purchase behavior and provides strategic insights to marketers to create better marketing opportunities for green products. This paradigm shift in consumer decision-making pushes companies to adopt environment-friendly practices.
