A research trend of electric machines with development of finite element analysis

Abstract: Finite element analysis (FEA) has rapidly developed in the past three decades. In case of the magnetic field analysis, many researchers have proposed different electric machines by using FEA in order to achieve high efficiency, high torque density, low torque ripple, and so on. For further development of electric machines, this paper presents a literature survey on the state‐of‐the‐art research trends of the electric machine related to FEA in the last 3 years. © 2017 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan.… Show more

“…The current era is the information age, and the processing of information has become the first step in quantitative analysis of people in daily life, production and scientific research (Eskandari et al , 2014). For complete information, that is, deterministic information, people have mastered a wealth of experience and knowledge, namely classical mathematics (Hijikata and Akatsu, 2017). However, in nature, there are a large number of systems with partial information and unknown information, and the behavior characteristics of such systems are difficult to describe by fuzzy mathematics or probability statistics (Gabr, 2015).…”
