They may occur as broad based pedonculated or lobulated forms, and as single or multiple bone outgrowths extending through the external auditory canal (Kennedy, 1986;Dastugue and Gervais, 1992;Tommaseo et al, 1997;Hutchinson et al, 1997;Katayama, 1998). According to Hrdlička (cited in Gregg and McGrew, 1970), the author of one of the most extensive studies on ear tumors, every bone formation in the outer ear canal should be classified as an ear exostosis.…”
