A Rare Presentation of Cat-Scratch Disease: A Case Report with Neuroretinitis and Review of Cases Reported from Turkey

Abstract: Neuroretinitis is a rare presentation of cat-scratch disease caused by Bartonella henselae. In this case report, we aimed to describe a 46-year-old male patient who presented with acute visual loss and was diagnosed as neuroretinitis. Fundus examination showed evidence of optic disc edema, macular star, and peripapillary hemorrhagia. The serological tests were positive for Bartonella with both IgM and IgG titers as 1/320.
