A rare pathological trinity: an appendiceal ectopic pregnancy, acute appendicitis and a carcinoid tumour

Abstract: This case highlights the importance of performing a pregnancy test in all women of childbearing age presenting with acute abdominal pain and also the need to consider other diagnoses that may mimic or present concurrently with acute appendicitis.
