A rare case of Candida prosthetic joint infection: Diagnostic and therapeutic challenges in a resource poor country.

Abstract: Candida infection of knee prostheses is rare but increasingly reported. This report describes a candida prosthetic joint infection in a healthy woman treated with antifungal therapy following removal of knee prosthesis in a Teaching Hospital in Sri Lanka.
