“…Studies indicate that physician–nurse communication is centred on work scenes and that team goals are often overlooked (Becker, 2013). Night shift communication should focus on the goal to achieve this orientation as well as the details of the goal (Loew et al, 2018). This study found night shift physician–nurse communication to be an important guide to achieve goals, and despite the night shift, doctors and nurses unconsciously mentioned the three important communication needs of process, timing and content.…”
