: a Python package for the running and matching of Wilson coefficients above and below the electroweak scale

Abstract: wilson is a Python library for matching and running Wilson coefficients of higher-dimensional operators beyond the Standard Model. Provided with the numerical values of the Wilson coefficients at a high new physics scale, it automatically performs the renormalization group evolution within the Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT), matching onto the weak effective theory (WET) at the electroweak scale, and QCD/QED renormalization group evolution below the electroweak scale down to hadronic scales relev… Show more

“…This Y d running is also important for the other semi-leptonic operator containing quark doublets, O eq . We accounted for these effects in Table II by using the package Wilson [49], finding good agreement with the analytical expressions given above.…”

“…Now we turn to an estimate of the loop contributions to R K ( * ) from the operators listed above. We used the numerical code flavio [30], combined with the package Wilson [49] for the matching and running of effective coefficients above the electroweak scale. 8 We have verified these numerical results by explicitly computing the RGE effects from the anomalousdimension matrices given in Ref.…”

“…In order to relate both EFTs, the matching between the Spin Q.N. Nature Allowed couplings SMEFT WET WET theory and the SMEFT has to be performed at the EW scale [74,75,109,110,113,114]. The matching onto the basis in the non-linear case [115,116] is given in Ref.…”

“…A systematic phenomenological analysis of the one-loop matching effects is left for future work. To this end, the inclusion of the matching results in existing SMEFT/LEFT software tools would be useful [20,21]. We provide the complete matching results in electronic form as supplemental material, which should facilitate their further use.…”

“…EFT analyses of constraints on NP is a rapidly developing field. For example, the leadinglog calculations have been implemented into software tools that provide automated calculations of bounds on Wilson coefficients [20][21][22] or support an automated calculation of processes at the tree and loop level [23,24].…”
