A Novel Zero-Watermarking Scheme Based on Variable Parameter Chaotic Mapping in NSPD-DCT Domain

Abstract: In this paper, a novel image zero-watermarking scheme against rotation attacks is proposed based on nonsubsampled pyramid decomposition (NSPD) and discrete cosine transform (DCT). It utilizes the intrinsic characteristics of NSPD and DCT to extract the robust feature of an image as the original zero-watermark. To increase the security of the proposed scheme, a variable parameter chaotic mapping (VPCM) is designed for the processes of watermark encryption and robust feature extraction. Firstly, the host gray-sc… Show more

“…Ran et al [ 136 ] used MSE criteria between the original image and ciphered image. Also, Wang et al [ 188 ] used this metric in their grading. The retrieved images from their work are heavily deranged by noise but can still recognize the primary information inside the image affected by the noise.…”

“…In [Wang et al 2020], a hybrid watermarking approach has been proposed that utilizes visual cryptography with watermarking (VCW). A VCW is exercised to segment images as well as to determine the smallest energy band in which the watermarks are included for the integration of a watermark communicating the medical image owner's information [Golub et al 1979].…”

“…At the same time, they also increased the computational complexity. Based on NSPD-DCT, Rui Wang [19] proposed a zero watermarking scheme against rotation attacks, and it had strong robustness to various attacks. Jing Liu [20] proposed an encrypted watermarking algorithm in the DTCWT-DCT domain combined with Henon Map.…”
