A diabetic foot ulcer is an open wound that can become sore and frequently occurs in diabetic patients. Alginate has the ability to form a hydrophilic gel when in contact with a wound surface in diabetic patients. Xanthones are the main compounds of mangosteen rind and have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the wound healing and antioxidants assay with a combination of alginate from S. ilicifolium and mangosteen rind combination extracts on a diabetic mice model. The characterization of alginate was carried out by size exclusion chromatography with multiple angle laser light scattering (SEC-MALLS) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The M/G ratio of alginate was calculated by using proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR). The antioxidant activity of mangosteen rind and the combination extracts was determined using the DPPH method. The observed parameters were wound width, number of neutrophils, macrophages, fibrocytes, fibroblasts, and collagen densities. The 36 male mice were divided into 12 groups including non-diabetic control (NC), diabetes alginate (DA), alginate–mangosteen (DAM), and diabetes control (DC) groups in three different groups by a histopathology test on skin tissue. The treatment was carried out for 14 days and mice were evaluated on Days 3, 7, and 14. The SEC-MALLS results showed that the molecular weight and dispersity index (Ð) of alginate were 2.77 × 104 Dalton and 1.73, respectively. The M/G ratio of alginate was 0.77 and described as single-stage decomposition based on TGA. Alginate, mangosteen rind extract, and their combination were divided into weak, medium, and strong antioxidant, respectively. The treatment of the DA and DAM groups showed a decrease in wound width and an increase in the number of fibrocytes, fibroblasts, and macrophages. The number of neutrophils decreased while the percentage of collagen densities increased for all the considered groups.

The study aims to learn the efficacy combination of Phyllanthus niruri and Androgaphis paniculata to improve the performance of laying hens infected with Escherichia coli pathogen. Fifty laying hens of Isa Brown strain were randomly divided into 5 treatments, each treatment was divided into 10 replications (n=10). Treatment P0-(control group without infected), P0+ (hens group infected with Avian Pathogenic's Escherichia coli without given extract), P1 (hens group infected with Avian Pathogenic's Escherichia coli with 10% Phyllanthus niruri extract and 30% Androgaphis paniculata), P2 (hens group infected with Avian Pathogenic's Escherichia coli with 20% Phyllanthus niruri extract and 20% Androgaphis paniculata) and P3 (hens group infected with Avian Pathogenic's Escherichia coli with 30% Phyllanthus niruri extract and 10% Androgaphis paniculata). Performances observed were feed consumption, Hen Day Production, eggs weight and feed conversion. Data analyzed by ANOVA and tested with the F test. The feed consumption showed in P1 was different from P3, P2, P0+ and P0-, P1 was different from P2 but not with P3, P0+, and P0-showed significantly different in each treatment. In P3 showed no differences with all treatments. The eggs weight showed different in P0+ for all treatments, while the other treatments in P1, P2, P3 and P0showed no differences. The feed conversion showed in P0+ was different for all treatments, while other treatments showed no difference. P0+ treatment compared to (P0-, P1, P2) was significantly different, P0+ treatment compared to P3 treatment was not significantly different, between P3 and P1 treatment was not significantly different, and between P1 and P2 with P0-was not significantly different, also between P3 with P2 and P0-treatments was significantly different. Supply of P. niruri extract. and A. paniculata in laying hens can improve the performance of laying hens infected with Escherichia coli pathogen.

This study aims to analyze the improvement of the histopathological picture of renal tubules in diabetic rats after being given golden sea cucumber extract (Stichopus hermanii). This research uses experimental design laboratories with a post-test only control group design method. The sampling used simple random sampling with 25 white rats divided into five groups, namely groups that were given standard feed without STZ-induced, STZ-induced group, STZ-induced group and given golden sea cucumber extract at a dose of 4.25 mg/kg BW for 21 days, STZinduced group and given golden sea cucumber extract at a dose of 8.5 mg/kg BW for 21 days, and STZ-induced group and given gold sea cucumber extract at a dose of 12.75 mg/kg BW for 21 days. The data on the observation of each group's kidney histopathology was carried out at the end of the session. The results of the analysis using the Kruskal-Wallis Test showed significant results, the Mann-Whitney Test showed significant differences between the STZinduced group and the golden sea cucumber extract (Stichopus hermanii) dose of 12.75 mg/kg BW (x=7.4 mg/dl) decreased significantly (p=0.001) compared to the STZ-only-induced group (x=12.6 mg/dl). Administration of golden sea cucumber extract (Stichopus hermanii) at a dose of 12.75 mg/kg BW of rats for 21 days lowered the degree of tubular damage to the kidney rectus of white rats (Rattus norvegicus) male streptozotocin-induced strains.
