“…Compared to the reported PVG−ICP MS system, the LOD has been improved 43-fold. 29 The accurate determination of the background concentration range of Bi in freshwater is important for the relative research in the field of environmental science. 30,43 To validate the accuracy of the proposed method, three environmental water samples were analyzed.…”

“…PVG efficiencies of elements are highly dependent on the type and concentration of low molecular organic compounds (LMOCs) used. AA was reported to be the most efficient medium for Bi in the PVG system. , Therefore, the effect of concentration of AA from 1 (v/v) to 30% (v/v) on the photochemical reduction of 2 ng mL –1 Bi 3+ was investigated in the presence of 60 μg mL –1 Fe 3+ . Interestingly, the signal response from AA in the investigated range was almost ignored when the sample solution was continuously introduced to the PVG reactor without stopping (corresponding to a 13 s irradiation time) at a flow rate of 3.8 mL min –1 .…”

“…Other ways are HG-ICP OES [ 24 ], HG-ICP-MS [ 25 , 26 ], and hydride generation laser-induced breakdown spectrometry (HG-LIBS) [ 27 ]. In addition, the use of UV photochemical vapor generation (UV-PVG) [ 28 , 29 ] coupled with spectrometric methods such as UV-PVG-AFS [ 30 ], UV-PVG-GFAAS [ 31 , 32 ], and UV-PVG-ICP-MS [ 33 , 34 ] resulted in enhanced sensitivity and lower susceptibility to non-spectral interference compared to conventional HG. Recently, hydride generation liquid anode/cathode atmospheric pressure glow discharge optical emission spectrometry (HG-FLA-APGD-OES, HG-FLC-APGD-OES) in a unique set-up was investigated by Pohl et al in Poland [ 35 , 36 ].…”
