A new spectrophotometric determination of famotidine from tablets

Abstract: A simple spectrophotometric method for determination of famotidine was described. The method was based on bromination of the drug with excess brominating mixture in acidic medium. The yellow colour developed was measured at 350 nm against distilled water blank.
