A new power modeling approach for transversal filters based on physically oriented design

Abstract: A new approach for power modeling of transversal filters based on a physically oriented design is presented. The approach is based on algebraic models fitted by correction functions which are determined from the distribution of the simulated, actual switching activity within filter macros.
