A new performances analysis for MRC receiver over correlated Weibull multipath fading channels

Abstract: In this study, we present a low computation com plexity expressions of many performance indicators of L-branch Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC). We adapt the previous results given for MRC receiver [1] to the case of correlated Weibull fading channels. Additionally, we derive a new formulas for probability density function (PDF) and moment generating function (MGF) of the output SNR in terms of simple polynomial and laguerre generalized function. All the findings are illustrated using MATHEMATICA Software and val… Show more

“…However, the factor of better approximation gradually decreases with an increase in these two factors. This verifies the effectiveness of the derived model in (17) and (19) for obtaining an analytical expression for both cases of ASER and P out especially for low number of relay nodes.…”

“…In this section, the analytical and simulation results for ASER and P out with BRs are presented, using derived PDF and MGF for both cases of cooperative diversity, that is, multi dual-hop, and cooperative network. The derived MGF expression in (17) and (19) is substituted separately into (20) and (21) to obtain analytical results for P AS (MRC) versus E s /N 0 and P AS (SC) versus E s /N 0 with MRC and SC receive diversity technique, respectively, for aforementioned two different cases of cooperative diversity. Similarly, the derived MGF expression for multi dual-hop and cooperative network are substituted separately into (22) to obtain analytical results for P out versus E s /N 0 by considering 16 QAM modulation technique with the threshold value γ ϑ = 10.…”
