A New Model of Environment-Aware Geographic Information Services in E-navigation

Abstract: Navigational information is of great significance to the safety of maritime navigation. To better guarantee navigator safety and improve navigation efficiency, an applied model of geographic information services (GI services) that consists of an operational architecture, several subsystems and multiple GI services is presented. This work is an e-navigation testbed that follows e-navigation technical architecture and integrates a large amount of navigation-related resources. Real-time, location-based and on-dem… Show more

“…As per the 101st MSC session, adoptive amendments have been made and are set to practice as of 21 January 2024. The amendments thus far have been regarding compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, and e-navigation, which is defined as "the harmonised collection, integration, exchange, presentation and analysis of marine information on board and ashore by electronics means to enhance berth to berth navigation and related services for safety and security at sea and protection of the marine environment" [18].…”

“…e interference suppression and filtering analysis in the transmission process of mobile geographic information service under the 4G terminal are carried out by autocorrelation matching filter and adaptive association rule mining device. Combined with error compensation, the stability and real-time performance of mobile geographic information service transmission under the 4G terminal are improved, but the packet reception performance of this anticipated technique is significantly poor in the strong interference background [2,20].…”
