“…Furthermore, in the cadaveric study, the dye injected into the thick fascia between the pectineus and obturator externus muscles travelled through the obturator canal and surrounded the two main branches of the obturator nerve both proximal and distal to the obturator canal. The needle trajectory in our technique is similar to a classical pubic obturator nerve block approach [18,23], and so we describe our technique as an ultrasound-guided pubic approach.…”

“…We assessed success of obturator nerve block by measuring adductor muscle strength with a sphygmomanometer [17][18][19]. Patients were instructed to extend both knees fully, dorsiflex both ankles in the supine position and squeeze a blood pressure cuff inflated to 40 mmHg between their knees by adducting their hips while an investigator held down the contralateral knee to fixate it.…”

“…[1,12] Obturator sinir blokajı için Labat'ın 1928 yılında geliştirdiği klasik yöntemden sonra zamanla farklı yaklaşımlar tariflenmiştir. [13,14] Bu konvansiyonel yaklaşımların dışında US'nin rejyonal anestezi pratiği-ne girmesiyle birlikte OSB'nin de US eşliğinde yapıldığı teknikler de tanımlanmıştır.
