A new, improved sensor for ascorbate determination at copper hexacyanoferrate modified carbon film electrodes

Abstract: A new, improved sensor for the electrocatalytic determination of ascorbate has been developed that has both a low applied operating potential and a low detection limit. The sensor was constructed by depositing copper hexacyanoferrate film either electrochemically or chemically onto carbon film electrode, and it was then characterised by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Chemically deposited films were shown to be the best for ascorbate determination and were used as an amperometric… Show more

“…In the present work we describe, for the first time, the polymerisation of EDOT on carbon film electrodes (CFE) made from carbon film electrical resistors of 2 [23] that have been used successfully in various sensor and biosensor applications [17,24]. PEDOT modified electrodes were prepared in aqueous solution by potential cycling, potentiostatic and galvanostatic methods.…”

“…In recent reports, metal hexacyanoferrates (MHCFs) such as NdHCF [21], AgHCF [22], SnHCF [23], CoHCF [24], NiHCF [25], CuHCF [26], etc., on various electrode substrates have been used for the determination of AA, DA or UA. MHCFs have also received much attention in many fields because of their special properties and potential applications [27 -29].…”
