Die Genauigkeit der kolorimetrischen Titanbestimmung ist praktisch konstant bei Konzentrationen von den stärksten bis zu 1.5 mg TiO2 in 100 ccm. Die Konzentrationsänderung, die erforderlich ist. um einen merkbaren Unterschied zwischen zwei Lösungen hervorzurufen, beträgt bei günstigen Konzentrationen etwa 6.5%, ein Wert, der von den von anderen Autoren gefundenen Zahlen für Chrom‐ und Kupferlösungen nicht erheblich abweicht. Unter Anwendung geeigneter Vorsichtsmaßregeln – Vergleich durch Substitution und Feststellung des Mittelwertes aus verschiedenen Einstellungen oder aus den zwei merklich verschiedenen Extremen – scheint die Genauigkeit des kolorimetrischen Vergleiches etwa 2%, zu sein.
