A new extraction method of bioflavanoids from poisonous plant (Gratiola Officinalis L.)

Abstract: Abstract:The way of vegetable raw materials extraction which allows to receive nontoxical composition of biological active agents from poisonous plants such as Gratiola officinalis L. was described. The alkaloids exit changes with the increase of ethyl alcohol percentage (from 15% to 96%). The extract was obtained using 96% ethanol and did not give positive high quality reaction to the content of alkaloids. The chemical composition with new nontoxical biological active composition of Gratiola officinalis L. ex… Show more

“…Previously, we have developed a method for separation of flavonoid-containing extracts from Gratīola officinālis L. that allows obtaining non-toxic or low toxic extracts even from poisonous plants [5,6]. It is know that these extract have antioxidant [7,8], antitumor [9][10][11][12][13], antimicrobial and antiinflammatory [14,15] actions.…”

“…In this work we used extracts which have been obtained by a process of double extraction, followed by alcohol precipitation of non-polar compounds (glycosides and alkaloids, et al) by chloroform from Gratiola officinalis plant, Helichrýsum arenárium and Zea mays [3][4][5]. This method has been patented by us.…”
