A New Data Rate Adaption Communications Scheme for Code-Shifted Differential Chaos Shift Keying Modulation

Abstract: In a binary Transmitted Reference (TR) system each bit is encoded into two wavelets of finite duration. The information is transmitted by the sign of correlation measured between the two wavelets. The Code-Shifted Differential Chaos Shift Keying (CS-DCSK) modulation scheme transmits the two wavelets in the same time slot and applies two Walsh code sequences to keep the wavelets separated. The CS-DCSK modulation scheme is generalized here by transmitting more than one information bearing wavelets with one refer… Show more

“…Furthermore, the binary codeshifted DCSK (CS-DCSK) in which reference and data chaotic sequences are separated by Walsh codes instead of time delay multiplexing, is presented in [6]. Two multi-level versions of CS-DCSK, called generalized CS-DCSK (GCS-DCSK) and its improved version multi-level CS-DCSK (MCS-DCSK) are presented in [15] and [16], respectively. In high-data rate CS-DCSK (HCS-DCSK) [17], different chaotic sequences are used instead of Walsh codes in order to separate the reference and data sequences.…”

“…A code shifted DCSK (CS-DCSK) system with Walsh codes [55] was proposed to solve the RF delay line problem at the receiver end. An improved version with chaotic codes [56] and a new data rate adaption communications scheme [57] for the CS-DCSK system were proposed to increase the data rate. Recently, a new Multicarrier DCSK (MC-DCSK) modulation without the need for an RF delay line was proposed in [58] for wireless sensor networks (WSNs), which provides higher data rate and low transmission energy as compared with the conventional DCSK system.…”

“…The CS-DCSK and generalized CS-DCSK (GCS-DCSK) modulation was elaborately illustrated in [9] and [18] respectively. If transmission of a single isolated symbol is considered then the transmitted GCS-DCSK signal is obtained as…”

“…To exploit both anti-multipath interference capacity of chaos modulations and cooperative diversity in multi-user environment, user cooperative diversity based on DCSK modulation was proposed [12] using time division and Walsh code division [17] respectively. In this paper, differing the cooperative strategy in the reference [12], a new user cooperative protocol is proposed utilizing multiple bit-streams transmission characteristics of GCS-DCSK modulation [18]. In contrast with four phase DCSK cooperative communication system in reference [12], this scheme only require a half of slots to finish one data transmission.…”
