The Cenozoic record of the Discinidae includes regions such as the United Kingdom (wood, 1874;Muir-wood, 1928Muir-wood, , 1939, North America (Conrad, 1834(Conrad, , 1845Dall, 1908;Gardner, 1928;Hertlein & Grant, 1944), Europe (Čtyroký & Fejfar, 1963; 204 Radwańska & Radwański, 1984, 1989, 2003Bitner & Cahuzac, 2013;Dulai, 2017;Dulai & von der Hocht, 2020;Bitner & Müller, 2022), Japan (Hatai & Hayasaka, 1965), and New Zealand (Lee, 1987).
