“…Discradisca has a known stratigraphic range of Early Paleocene to Recent (Stenzel 1964), but has not previously been reported from New Zealand. Recent Discradisca strigata is known from rocky shore localities in Baja California (Paine 1962), where it lives under flat rocks both above and below the low tide zone, and Punta Patilla, Panama (La Barbera 1985) where it occurs under rocky overhangs and in crevices in the mid-intertidal zone.…”
