“…Na América do Sul, as consequências climáticas do LIA são espacialmente complexas (Thompson et al, 2013), e foi sugerido a formação de um dipolo seco/úmido entre o sudeste e o nordeste do Brasil (Novello et al, 2012;Vuille et al, 2012 (Almeida et al, 1981b;Morais et al, 1999). A partir desses fatores, foram estimados o gradiente topográfico do perfil longitudinal e a resistência relativa das rochas aflorantes (Hawkins, 1998;Clayton & Shamoon, 1998) ao longo do trecho estudado do Rio Tietê. A análise do perfil longitudinal e identificação dos knickpoints permite definir níveis de base locais, avaliar possíveis correlações com estruturas geológicas e a formação de trechos com predomínio de processos agradacionais ou erosivos.…”

Works that involve the entirely theoretical slope simulation models to describe the relationship between rock strength (focused on erosion resistance) and slope development to predict slope development on petrographically not homogenous slopes (Telbisz, 1999) also exist.…”
