AbstractIn this paper, we examine the use of knowledge query technology as applied to conversation bots in the instant messaging environment. Hence, we designed an artificial intelligent conversation robot or bots called Artificial Intelligence Natural language Identity (hereafter, AINI) to mimic human conversation. Our goal is to introduce a Domain Matrix Knowledge Model and an Automated Knowledge Extraction Agent (AKEA) to create AINI's knowledge bases, and in turn provide intelligent query mechanisms. We report an evaluation on the collection and analysis of a corpus containing over 3280 utterances in a series of real instant messages exchanged between the AINI conversation bot and 65 online "buddies". About 1721 utterances were produced by AINI, 88.03% were from open-domain knowledge, 2.15% from domain-specific knowledge base and 9.82% were inappropriate and amusing responses. These results show that domain knowledge plays significant roles in conversations between two or more human users and in human-machine conversation.

Abstract-This paper discusses the computational parsing of GP sentences. By an approach of combining computational linguistic methods, e.g. CFG, ATN and BNF, we analyze the various syntactic structures of pre-grammatical, common, ambiguous and GP sentences. The evidence shows both ambiguous and GP sentences have lexical or syntactic crossings. Any choice of the crossing in ambiguous sentences can bring a full-parsed structure. In GP sentences, the probability-based choice is the cognitive prototype of parsing. Once the part-parsed priority structure is replaced by the full-parsed structure of low probability, the distinctive feature of backtracking appears. The computational analysis supports Pritchett's idea on processing breakdown of GP sentences.

A reliability index for fuzzy expert group criterion

In the paper, a fuzzy expert group criterion is presented in the form of a linguistic variable with the properties of completeness and orthogonality. The expert group criterion is created based on individual expert criteria of evaluation a quantitative or qualitative characteristic. The construction is carried out on the basis of the minimum loss of information contained in the individual criteria. For neighboring terms (concepts) of the criterion, analogues of probabilities of errors of the first and the second kinds are determined, as well as the reliability index, taking into account the zones of uncertainty of their membership functions. The reliability index of fuzzy expert group criterion is determined based on the reliability indexes of all the neighboring terms.
