A model for supply chain risk management in the automotive industry using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy TOPSIS

Abstract: Purpose One of the most important issues in supply chain (SC) management is the identification and management of the risk involved in it. The purpose of this paper is to propose a comprehensive model of supply chain risk management (SCRM) in the product life cycle (PLC) and the operational process cycle (OPC). To decrease the risks in a fuzzy environment, the model considers the organizational performance factors (OPF) and the risk operational practices (ROP). Design/methodology/approach Fuzzy analytic hiera… Show more

“…This paper applied Chang's extent analysis based FAHP method. This approach is simple and involves less computational time (Kumar and Garg, 2017;Salehi Heidari et al, 2018). Thus, Chang's Extant analysis based FAHP is used to decide the most suitable objective functions for the APP in this research.…”

“…A case study is also conducted to validate the model. Salehi Heidari et al (2018) have developed an SCRM model using integrated fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy Technique of Order Preference Similarity to the Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) approach. The proposed model considered the product life cycle (PLC) and the operational process cycle (OPC), organizational performance factors (OPF) and the risk operational practices (ROP) factors to decrease the risks in the automotive industry.…”

“…Fuzzy numbers allow us to model those linguistic expressions. FAHP is widely applied to rank and weight criteria and dimensions in various fields such as supply chain management (SCM) risks (Salehi Heidari et al, 2018), e-learning evaluation (Jami Pour et al, 2017) and service quality of bank industry (Chatterjee et al, 2010). Also, in the field of service quality, FAHP approach has been used (Table 1).…”
