Abstract: Background: Lymphatic filariasis is a major neglected tropical disease that is a leading cause of permanent and long-term disability worldwide. Significant progress made by the Global Programme to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis (GPELF) has led to a substantial decrease in the levels of infection.
