“…Ayurveda has been practiced in India for over 5000 years, along with yoga, meditation, and other traditional practices such as naturopathy, pranic healing, and so on (Dubey et al, 2022;) According to the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India ( 2018), the Government of India is promoting traditional Indian medical therapies and treatments such as meditation, yoga, naturopathy, Siddha, panchakarma, spas, as well as, Ayurveda. Furthermore, the desire for a healthy lifestyle, physical and mental relaxation, spiritual well-being (Sollgruber et al, 2018), and discovering one's inner self and its connection to the environment are major determinants of wellness (Smith and Kelly, 2006), all of which drive tourists to India (Mirando et al, 2022). More specifically, the wellness centers located in Northern India (Indian Himalayan regions) offer lush green forests, a peaceful atmosphere, and all of the natural resources that attract wellness tourists throughout the year.…”
