This study's objective was to understand how nursing and health professionals experience and signify the relationships in the care "of us" process, using Grounded Theory as its method. A total of 25 nursing and health workers from a university hospital, distributed into four sample groups, participated in the study. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews in March-July 2011. The contextualization of the institution and management form the context. The movements of human relations/interactions and the professionals' health are causal conditions, while the advance of technology and decline of human care and social life are intervenient conditions. The processed human relations/interactions of care are the strategies that cause the care "of us" to take place in the procedural circularity of care and being-cared-for. The professionals construct the care "of us" in their practice, understood as relational and procedural, in the movements and fluctuations of processes of human interactions.

RESUMOObjetivo: Identificar a percepção dos profissionais de saúde de uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) sobre os fatores restritivos do trabalho em equipe multiprofissional. Métodos: Estudo exploratório, descritivo, com abordagem qualitativa, que ocorreu em um hospital terciário de alta complexidade, localizado em Sobral/CE. Participaram nove entrevistados representantes da equipe multiprofissional da UTI. Os dados foram coletados por entrevista semiestruturada e analisados segundo a Análise de Conteúdo. Assim, as interlocuções com os profissionais foram apreendidas em quatro categorias: desrespeito entre os profissionais da equipe, excesso de demanda, falta de comunicação entre seus integrantes e falta de capacitação profissional. Resultados: O fator mais restritivo do trabalho em equipe multiprofissional na UTI foi a falta de respeito entre os integrantes da equipe, resultado das relações de hierarquia de poder, da falta de conhecimento do fazer de cada profissional, bem como da falta de comunicação dentro da equipe, evidenciando a necessidade de estratégias que potencializem a comunicação e o respeito entre os integrantes. Além disso, o excesso de demanda, somando-se a um ambiente estressante como a UTI e à falta de capacitação da equipe foram destacados nas falas como fatores considerados restritivos ao processo. Conclusão: Foi possível levantar os fatores restritivos do trabalho em equipe multiprofissional no cenário da UTI, o que pode colaborar para a construção e o fortalecimento das ações para superar esses desafios. Ratifica-se a importância da compreensão de que as ações a serem desenvolvidas são da equipe multidisciplinar como um todo, e não de um indivíduo apenas. ABSTRACT Objective: To identify the perception of health professionals of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) regarding the restrictive factors of the work in a multiprofessional team. Methods:Qualitative descriptive exploratory study conducted in a tertiary referral hospital located in Sobral, Ceará. Participants were nine representatives of the ICU multiprofessional team. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews and underwent Content Analysis. Thus, dialogues with professionals were divided into four categories: disrespect between team professionals, excessive demand, lack of communication between members and lack of professional training. Results: The most restrictive factor of the work of the multiprofessional team in the ICU was the lack of respect between team members, which results from the hierarchy of power relationships, the lack of knowledge of each professional's work as well as the lack of communication within the team, highlighting the need for strategies to enhance communication and respect between members. Having adequate time with patients, shorter waiting time and the ability to greater professional autonomy have been shown to help provide a higher quality of care. Empathy and sympathy appear to be crucial components for the health professionals and their relationship to patients. Aim: The aim of this study was to explore health professionals' experiences of relatives to critically ill patients in order to identify aspects that may facilitate a better understanding of this teamwork. Methods: The study was descriptive and exploratory and had a qualitative design with a phenomenological/ hermeneutic orientation for the interviews. Focus group was the chosen methodology. The study comprised 19 health professionals in four focus groups. Results: Two themes emerged from the interviews: the hospital culture does not integrate relatives, and health professionals felt that relatives took their resources and saw them as an obstacle in their daily work. The increased access to information and the acknowledgement of consumers' rights is a high priority. Therefore, it could be argued that the public healthcare system of today must fulfil two goals at the same time, their social responsibility and their financial goals (1). The public healthcare system is described as a bureaucracy, which can be understood as a system building on another system, which can lead to a disconnection between different organisational levels. This disconnection is often seen between management and clinic and is often described as a hierarchy, where the abstractions of management seem to disconnect from what is actually happening on the floor (1).Health professionals are guided by public policies and not so often on the norms of professionals (2). Instead of the healthcare system building upon the enthusiasm of a few, it builds on the tolerance of many. The discrepancy between how the organisation is presented and the actual results may explain why many health professionals feel discontented.
