Abstract:Esse artigo descreve o período histórico de anexação do Acre ao território brasileiro, abordando acontecimentos que vão desde os acordos assinados entre Portugal e Espanha, a série de conflitos decorrentes de interesses econômicos, que culminaram com o movimento armado conhecido como “Revolução Acreana” e, assinatura do Tratado de Petrópolis, em 1903, no qual a região passou a pertencer definitivamente ao Brasil.
