“…The developed method therefore provided satisfactory sensitivity and linearity. The results were similar to those obtained previously using chromatographic (AuroraPrado et al, 2004;Zhao et al, 2006;Nelson, Sharpless, Sander, 2006) and electrochemical techniques (Zare, Shishehbore, Nematollahi, 2011;Vaze, Srivastava, 2007;Ensafi, Karimi-Maleh, 2010) for the analysis of folic acid in different matrices.…”

“…Folic acid (FA) and folates, which are different chemical forms of vitamin B 9 , belong to the water-soluble B-group vitamins (Zare, Shishehbore, Nematollahi, 2011;Catharino, Godoy, Lima-Pallone, 2006;Nasser et al, 2005). Folate is a generic term for compounds possessing vitamin activity similar to that of pteroylglutamic acid, and is the form of the vitamin naturally present in foods (Krishnaswamy, Nair, 2001).…”

“…To the best of our knowledge, there is no report on the simultaneous determination of MO and AC by using a modified carbon paste electrode. To continue our studies on the fabrication of 4-hydroxy-2-(triphenylphosphonio)phenolate (HTP)/multi-wall carbon nanotubes modified carbon paste electrode (HTP-MWCNT-CPE) and its applications for the determination of different analytes [46][47][48], we have reported in this paper the application of HTP-MWCNT-CPE for the electrocatalytic oxidation of MO and the simultaneous determination of MO and AC. The results show that the modified electrode has important advantages such as wide linear concentration range, low detection limit, and good repeatability for MO determination.…”

“…The deficiency of FA causes a range of diseases such as congenital anomalies of brain and spine, colorectal cancer, megaloblastic anemia, mental devolution, neural tube defects and heart attack [20,21]. In addition, it also possesses antioxidant properties which help protecting the DNA against free radical attack [22]. Therefore, the determination of FA is a significant research interest and hence several analytical methods have been reported for quantifying FA that include fluorimetry [23], spectrophotometry [24], high performance liquid chromatography [25] and flow injection chemiluminescence [26].…”
