Abstract: NAD+‐dependent formate dehydrogenase (FDH) catalyzes the conversion of formate and NAD+ to produce carbon dioxide and NADH. The reaction is biotechnologically important because FDH is widely used for NADH regeneration in various enzymatic syntheses.
