“…The correlation between the DRASTI-LU index and the nitrate concentrations in groundwater was investigated to check the efficiency of using this approach to assess groundwater vulnerability. For this purpose, 46 nitrate samples (Table 7) with well locations were obtained of year 2010 from the Office of Geohydrologist, Raipur, Chhattisgarh to investigate the correlation between DRASTI-LU index and nitrate samples (Shekhar et al 2014). Out of the 46 sample locations, only 40 samples have been used to carry out the validation process, and 6 sample locations has no data of DRASTI-LU index because they did not lie in the study area (basin limits).…”
