A number of issues related to the construction of an information processing system in a Coriolis flow meter using simulation models are considered. The paper presents simulation models of a straight-tube Coriolis flowmeter built in a Matlab/Simulink simulation environment. A simulation of the operation of the flow meter under various conditions of the flow of a liquid medium was carried out, and external vibration effects were simulated on both the flowmeter and its pipeline elements. On the basis of the obtained experimental data, the parameters of the data processing system were selected. The problems of the influence of external influences and ways to eliminate it are considered. In addition to external influences that adversely affect the accuracy of measurements, various physical limitations determining the maximum achievable accuracy of Coriolis flowmeters are analyzed. The processes of dynamic changes in the physical properties of bodies related to their molecular structure are considered, as well as technical and technological processes that can make changes to the accuracy parameters of a measuring device due to the variation of parameters of structural elements.

In the traditional time-shifting based phase difference method, considerable errors may be introduced by wrapped phase problem as long as translation coefficient tends to one even in a small-scale turbulence noise. In this paper, an improved frequency estimator is proposed to overcome the problem of wrapped phase by combination of phase difference method and interpolation algorithm. Compared with the traditional method of phase difference based on timeshifting, the improved algorithm can obtain an accurate estimate when translation coefficient exceeds one. Comparative studies were done by means of root-mean-square error over Cramer-Rao lower bound. According to the computer simulations, it is demonstrated that root-mean-square errors can cross Cramer-Rao lower bound if the translation coefficient is properly selected even in the case of the low signal-to-noise ratio, which implies that the proposed algorithm has a strong noise immunity. Finally, the advantage of the proposed algorithm is illustrated for the simulation signal which contained strong local random noise.

In this paper, we focus on CMF signal processing and aim to resolve the problems of precision sharp-decline occurrence when using adaptive notch filters (ANFs) for tracking the signal frequency for a long time and phase difference calculation depending on frequency by the sliding Goertzel algorithm (SGA) or the recursive DTFT algorithm with negative frequency contribution. A novel method is proposed based on feedback corrected ANF and Hilbert transformation. We design an index to evaluate whether the ANF loses the signal frequency or not, according to the correlation between the output and input signals. If the signal frequency is lost, the ANF parameters will be adjusted duly. At the same time, singular value decomposition (SVD) algorithm is introduced to reduce noise. And then, phase difference between the two signals is detected through trigonometry and Hilbert transformation. With the frequency and phase difference obtained, time interval of the two signals is calculated. Accordingly, the mass flow rate is derived. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed method always preserves a constant high precision of frequency tracking and a better performance of phase difference measurement compared with the SGA or the recursive DTFT algorithm with negative frequency contribution.
