A Facile Photoelectrochemical Sensor for High Sensitive Dopamine and Ascorbic Acid Detection Based on Bi surface Plasmon Resonance-Promoted BiVO₄ Microspheres

Abstract

In this work, BiVO4/Bi-X (X represented the quality of adding NaNH4, X = 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5) are synthesized through two-step hydrothermal methods. The photoelectrochemical (PEC) experiments demonstrate that the PEC properties of BiVO4/Bi-0.3 bear the best PEC performance compared with other materials. Meanwhile, UV–vis Diffuse reflection spectra (DRS) and photoluminescence (PL) also affirm that the Bi metal SPR effect is able to improve the energy conversion efficiency. For this reason, the PEC sensors based on a bifunctional BiVO4/Bi-0.3 are fabricated, which demonstrates a broad linear range from 0.2–118 μM and 0.05–100 μM for sensing ascorbic acid (AA) and Dopamine (DA).
