“…The reservoir volume affected by the total DFN is called the Stimulated Rock Volume (SRV), while the reservoir volume affected by the proppant-filled fractures is referred to as the Productive Stimulated Rock Volume (P-SRV), as the proppantfilled fractures are expected to remain open and contribute to production more effectively. A detailed explanation of this deterministic DFN process can be found in McKenna et al (2015).…”

“…A calibrated proppant-filled Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) model was created using a technique described by McKenna et al (2015) to calculate fracture plane length, area and aperture based on the seismic moment of the fluidinduced microseismic events and associated shear modulus at each hypocenter location using a volumetric balance approach where the total fracture volume is equal to the injected slurry volume minus the volume due to leakoff into the formation. Fracture orientations are defined by the focal mechanism of the microseismic event.…”

“…The nuances of fracturing fluid compositions, proppant types, and injection protocols are tailored based on reservoir conditions [26,27]. Extensive research has been conducted to assess the effectiveness of various fracturing techniques, including sliding sleeve and plug-and-perf approaches [28,29]. Post-fracturing operations focus on wellbore clean-up, flowback management [30][31][32], and reservoir pressure maintenance, often leveraging enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques, like CO 2 or gas injection, to improve ultimate recovery [33][34][35][36].…”
