A dark energy model in Lyra manifold

Abstract: We consider, in normal-gauge Lyra's geometry, evolution of a homogeneous isotropic universe in a gravitational model involving only the standard matter in interaction with a displacement vector field φ µ .Considering both constant and time-dependent displacement vector field we show that the observed cosmic acceleration could be explained without considering an alien energy component with a negative pressure.

“…Recently, in [65], the authors investigate the existence of Lyra's cosmology with interaction of normal matter and DE. In [66], we can witness a DE model in a LM which proves that the expansion paradigm can be illustrated in the absence of a negative pressure energy component. It is further mentioned that DE is naturally of geometrical origin.…”

“…In addition, some exact solutions for the field equations in a Lyra manifold of φ ν = (α, 0, 0, 0), where α is either a constant or a function of t, have also been introduced which do not include any wormhole [68,69]. In fact, there is no study on properties of a static traversable wormhole in the Lyra geometry, and in most cases, physicist have focused on the cosmological features of this theory [62][63][64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73][74][75][76][77].…”

“…Using the Lyra generalization of the Riemannian geometry [61], Sen has constructed a modified version for the Einstein theory [62], which attracts a lot of attention to itself [63][64][65][66][67][68][69][70][71][72][73][74][75][76]. Some conformal dynamic traversable wormholes have also been studied in this theory which violate the null and weak energy conditions [77].…”
