В статье представлено комплексное исследование образных средств, содержащих названия частей тела. Актуальность работы определяется повышенным вниманием ученых к проблеме лингвистической образности как семантической категории, недостаточной изученностью особенностей образных парадигматических рядов, в том числе с точки зрения языковых уровней, на которых образность создается. Научная новизна работы заключается в том, что в ней впервые исследуются особенности функционирования образных средств с названиями частей тела, устанавливаются уровни языка, на которых возможно появление образа, определяется соотношение соматизмов и компонентов компаративной триады, исследуются традиционные большие и малые образные агентивно-парадигматические ряды с соматическими референтами, прослеживается преемственность образов. Материал исследования составили текст Библии, сочинения Шекспира, а также художественные прозаические и поэтические произведения английских и американских писателей 19-20 вв. В работе доказано, что самыми употребительными в образных конструкциях являются соматизмы eye и heart. Поскольку большинство образов строится на основе именно этих соматизмов, то семантическую структуру образных средств целесообразно проследить, изучая их агентивно-парадигматические отношения. The article presents a comprehensive study of figurative means containing the names of body parts. The relevance of the work is determined by the increased attention of scientists to the problem of linguistic imagery as a semantic category, insufficient knowledge of the features of figurative paradigmatic series, including from the point of view of language levels at which imagery is created. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that for the first time the features of the functioning of figurative means with the names of body parts are investigated, the levels of language at which the appearance of an image is possible are established, the ratio of somatisms and components of the comparative triad is determined, the traditional large and small figurative agentive-paradigmatic series with somatic referents are investigated, the continuity of images is traced. The research material consisted of the text of the Bible, the works of Shakespeare, as well as artistic prose and poetic works of English and American writers of the 19th and 20th centuries. The paper proves that the most common in figurative constructions are the somatisms eye and heart. Since most images are based on these somatisms, it is advisable to trace the semantic structure of figurative means by studying their agentive-paradigmatic relations.

Today, agricultural innovations shift power between women and men, new fuels disadvantage vendors of wood for cooking, food aid unsettles the local food economy, cell phones put middlemen out of business, and improved medical services threaten the livelihood of traditional healers.…”
